Cancellation Policy

Private Lesson Booking Policy At Academy of Movement, we are pleased to offer private lessons with our instructors. To ensure fairness, clarity, and a smooth booking process, please read our policy carefully before booking. 1. Booking & Deposit A £5 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your private lesson booking. This deposit is deducted from the total cost of your session. If you cancel your session for any reason, the deposit will not be refunded. 2. Payment The remaining balance of £30 (cash only) must be paid in full and upfront before the lesson begins. Private lessons are charged per session (typically 45 minutes). Lessons will not go ahead unless payment has been made in advance/on arrival. 3. Cancellations & Rescheduling Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to allow us to offer the space to another student. If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, your deposit will be retained and you may be charged the full balance at the discretion of Academy of Movement. In the rare event that Academy of Movement needs to cancel or reschedule your session, we will offer an alternative date/time or refund your deposit. 4. Parent/Guardian Attendance Unlike group classes, in some cases parents/guardians may be invited to watch private lessons. This will depend on circumstances such as space available, other lessons running in the studio, and the comfort of the student. Permission will be confirmed by the coach before the start of the session. 5. Lateness Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled time so the lesson can start promptly. Sessions will still finish at the scheduled end time, even if you arrive late. If you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, the session may be cancelled and payment forfeited. 6. Health & Safety Students must wear appropriate training clothes (no zips or jewellery). A warm-up is included in the private lesson. If the student arrives late and misses part of the warm-up, some skills may not be attempted for safety reasons. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children are fit and well enough to participate. 7. Non-Transferable Bookings are for the named student only and cannot be transferred to another child without prior agreement.
