Free Practice - Booking Policy Terms and Conditions

Academy of Movement: Student Free Practice Training Session Booking Policy

Purpose of the Session:

  • The free practice training sessions are designed to provide current students the opportunity to practise specific skills they are working on in their classes. These sessions are for self-guided practice only, and no formal coaching will be provided during these times.

Eligibility:

  • These sessions are strictly for current students of Academy of Movement.

  • Students aged 8 to 17 years are permitted to attend.

  • If a younger student is unable to train without close supervision, they will be asked to sit out. If this becomes a frequent issue, the minimum age for participation may be adjusted.

Parental Involvement:

  • Parents are not permitted to be present during these sessions due to safeguarding protocols. However, a clear set of rules will be provided for parents to review prior to the session. Parents are encouraged to trust Academy of Movement and its staff to manage the session appropriately.

Safety Disclaimer:

  • Academy of Movement will have a coach present in the room to observe the session and guide the students as necessary; however, Academy of Movement will not accept any responsibility for children performing unsafe actions. Students are expected to practise within their abilities and adhere to safety guidelines.

Session Guidelines:

  1. Structured Warm-Up & Cool Down:

    • Each session will include a structured warm-up and cool down, led by a coach. It is mandatory for all participants to engage in these segments to prevent injury and prepare for the session.

  2. Supervision & Guidance:

    • A coach will be present to provide general oversight and support if needed. However, no direct coaching will take place during the session as it is intended for independent practice.

  3. Rules & Expectations:

    • A clear set of rules will be communicated to students at the beginning of each session. These must be adhered to at all times. A copy of these rules will also be available for parents to read beforehand.

  1. Conduct & Safety:

    • Unsafe behaviour or actions deemed inappropriate will not be tolerated. Students engaging in unsafe practices will be asked to stop immediately, and persistent failure to comply with safety rules may result in being removed from the session.

Booking Policy:

  • Booking is non-refundable once the session is confirmed.

  • Spaces are limited, and bookings will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Prohibited Items:

  • No food or hot drinks are allowed in the training space for safety and cleanliness reasons.

Amendments to Age Group:

  • If the current age group (8 to 17 years) proves to include children who are not ready for independent practice, Academy of Movement may raise the minimum age for these sessions.

By booking a session, you agree to the terms and conditions laid out in this policy.
